Kelley and John’s wedding day took place at the beautiful Ritz Carlton with an outdoor ceremony to include sunny weather, strong winds, and a large floral structure at the altar.
Florida is associated with the perfect weather, therefore, ideal for a beautiful outdoor wedding with picture-perfect scenery at no additional cost. Often our clients prefer to have outdoor weddings. We play our role to create the couple’s vision into a reality, but must prepare for weather changes. It is a challenging factor to consider as there is no way to predict this when planning your wedding. We suggest having a back-up plan to an outdoor wedding, as Florida’s “picture-perfect” weather can be wildly inconsistent. Regardless, we commit to the couple’s wishes and will do everything we can in effort to ensure the day goes smoothly and as beautifully as the couple imagines.
Kelley and John’s wedding shares an example how weather can lead to a change of plans. Faced with strong gusts of wind and the fear of knocking over the large floral structure, Lana stood behind the infinity circle to keep it from blowing over throughout the ceremony, (luckily - the design of flowers was wide enough to hide Lana, but if you look closely you can see the edge of her black shirt standing on the left side of the circle!) ensuring this couple would have the beautiful outdoor wedding of their dreams. Thanks to Lana’s dedication and passion for her clients - the day was as seamless as they had planned.
Kelley carried a handtied Bridal Bouquet using mixes of white, ivory, and champagne florals. Flowers included garden roses, quicksand roses, spray roses, and ranunculus, with italian ruscus and eucalyptus greenery, combined in a dimensional floral design with a ribbon wrap on the stems.
The ceremony aisle was lined with four full garden floral arrangements designed with a mix of white and champagne flowers, leading the way to the beautiful infinity arch placed at the altar. The 7x7 circle structure was adorned with gorgeous floral and foliages in a loose organic design all around circle.
Similar to the problem with the structure, the strong winds kept blowing over the ceremony aisle pedestals that the large aisle arrangements were placed on. This was an area we had to make a concession and decided to place the flowers on the ground, removing the pedestals and changing the desired look we had planned.
The ballroom reception incorporated tall, abundant overflowing garden arrangements paired with low compote centerpieces throughout the space and a combination of clear glass and gold accents creating a luxe look.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson!
