December 31, 2018
The excitement and romance of New Year’s Eve is a given, but when the perfect couple chooses to tie the knot that same evening, something enchanted happens…a celebration for the ages.
And that is exactly what Molly and JJ’s wedding became on December 31, 2018.
Working with the couple and wedding planner Lisa Stoner, of Lisa Stoner Events, Lana used love as the inspiration to communicate that special evening. A color scheme of white, blush pink, deep reds, and even a sprinkling of dark purple complemented with rich greens was the impeccable combination of romantic love with a dash of holiday.
Molly and her bridesmaids carried unstructured garden bouquets filled with roses, lilacs, scabiosa, and seeded eucalyptus which enhanced the church altar arrangements beautifully. These floral designs brought color into the environment in a most elegant way.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to Interlachen Country Club where a 10 x 10 foot indoor garden structure with scrolls of calligraphy greeted them with their table number. Lana truly brought the outdoors in with lush mixed foliage and flowers. Specialty lighting was the perfect way to bring the area aglow.
The reception was filled with long, rectangular tables with rounds sprinkled in - all drenched in stunning floral and twinkling crystal. Tall centerpiece arrangements were regally placed down tables with flowers and winter greens, dripping with hanging amaranths and crystals. Below these arrangements sat silver candlesticks and crystal stemware - a luxurious feel for the evening.
To give the room depth, lower table arrangements were placed throughout the reception. All place settings were adorned with a gold pear.
In developing the romantic garden feel throughout the entire space, Lana adorned the backdrop of the band with garlands of flowers and greens - highlighted with twinkle lights.
The design elements of this wedding were no easy feat for Lana and her team. But her meticulous eye for beauty paired with her creative design talents made way for a look that will go down in history…just like Molly and JJ’s wedding.
